We exported white strawberries to Singapore directly from Kumamoto, Japan in January 2017. The export amount was 120 packs. The variety we offered is called Awayuki which is one of the few varieties of white strawberry we have in Japan. Although the white color may make the strawberries seem unripened and sour, it is in fact sweeter than the normal red strawberry. (Due to its appearance, some call it ‘white jewelry’) During the Lunar New Year in Singapore, people often purchase gifts for each other, and of course, fruit is always a good choice. We targeted this season to gain more awareness of our product and the 120 packs sold out in just one week.
