It is the strength that exists only because there are farmers who have worked hard to improve the quality with limited land. On the other hand, there are many issues such as intensive competition with overseas products and increase of abandoned farmland. Under the mission ,“Wow the world with Japanese agriculture,” we see the world market as one solution and hope to solve the problems which Japanese agricultural industry is facing.
The fundamental issue of Japanese agriculture is that the domestic market is the only sales channel for farmers.
In short, it is a zero-sum game.
Such structure was okay when the Japanese economy itself was growing rapidly but now is an era of decreasing population.
We cannot expect the industry to grow if all farmers are going after the same shrinking pie.
The mission of our company is to create a structural shift by developing a powerful sales channel overseas.
We believe we can change the industry into a world where farmers receive adequate return for all the high quality products they produce by supplying them to a vast, growing market outside of Japan.
